Vale Margaret Trollop

It is with deep sadness that we acknowledge the passing of one of our most cherished figures, Margaret “Marg” Trollop, a true matriarch of our club and a pillar of the East Burwood community.

Marg’s dedication to our club spanned decades, and her contributions helped shape the very fabric of who we are today. She served tirelessly as a junior club volunteer for 13 years, Senior Club Secretary for 6 years, and Committee Member for 8 years. In recognition of her service, Marg was awarded Life Membership in 1988 and inducted into the East Burwood Hall of Fame in 2011.

The Rams were more than just a club to Marg — they were a part of her heart and soul. Her unwavering commitment, passion, and generosity of spirit touched everyone who crossed her path. Saying “no” simply wasn’t in her nature when it came to supporting her beloved East Burwood.

Margaret also made an indelible mark beyond our club, becoming the first female Vice President of the EFNL and proudly holding Life Membership there as well.

Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with Margaret’s family and loved ones during this difficult time. We will share details of her service with our members as soon as they become available.
