Football Report 2018

It may be the off season but there has still been plenty of activity around the football club.

The following will keep you up to date with all the news from the club since the end of the season. Some of it maybe old news but we want to keep all updated.

Adam is a four time best and fairest winner, life member and hall of fame member at East Burwood. He enjoyed premiership success at the Rams in 2000.

Luke tasted premiership success at East Burwood in 1999 and 2000. He played more than 150 games for the club, coached the reserves to a premiership in 2005 and served as senior coach in 2006.

Scott played more than 100 games for the Rams. He has coached at all levels in the EFL. He holds a degree in fitness and wellbeing.

Adam brings a wealth of experience to the job and will continue on the path taken this year in developing our young players and preparing them for senior football. He played over 100 games with the Rams and has served as assistant coach at Doncaster in a premiership year. He has also coached junior teams at Heathmont FC for the past 4 years.

Collingwood 1990 Premiership player Doug Barwick also returns to the Rams in 2018 in a player development role. He will run clinics for junior players at the club as well as playing a key role in the development of coaches at the club. Doug has previously played and coached at East Burwood. He has also been assistant Coach at the Eastern Ranges in the TAC Cup and been an assistant coach with Box Hill.

What all these guys share apart from a rich history of success is a passion for the East Burwood Football Club. They are fully committed to instilling a winning culture at the club and restoring the club to being a power house of the EFL.

They want to make the Rams a destination club and to develop the next premiership team from the talented group of young players already at the club.

Please note we are hoping to advise all members of our recruiting campaign soon. Luke Slater along with Stuart and Scott are working hard to increase and improve our playing list for 2018. I hope to update you all soon on this development. Current committee met with all coaches this week at Piccolino’s for dinner there was a great buzz and anticipation, enthusiasm on the coming season. I thank all supporters who emailed me direct in appreciation of the past players we have bought back to the club who will be a huge help in moving our great club forward.
