Congratulations to Rob Peak who was today awarded an Order of Australia Medal in the Queen’s Birthday Honours.
His award citation read “For service to Australian rules football and sports administration”
This is truly deserved recognition for more that 40 years of service and volunteer work with a large number of sporting bodies.
Rob served two stints on the committee at the Rams holding the positions of treasurer, vice president and president (2014-2017) at the Rams.
He was also both President and Vice President of the EFNL and is a life member of that organisation.
He has also held positions with the Royal Melbourne Yacht Club, Blackburn South Junior Football Club, North Kew Football Club, Victorian Metropolitan Football League and Sporting Inclusion Australia.
He is currently treasurer at the Donvale Football.
As a testament to his willingness to roll up his sleeves and get the job done, he has on many occasions spent the afternoon in the beer both flipping burgers.
